"We first purchased a Splatter painting approximately four years ago at the Bus Depot Markets in Canberra. We first started purchasing paintings as tourists to Canberra, with a visit to the Bus Depot Markets and a purchase of a Splatter painting on Sunday as the finale to our weekend trips. We have consistently been impressed with the quality and artistic style of the Splatter paintings and over the years have built up a collection of more than a dozen paintings of all sizes and subjects. In addition to these paintings for our personal collection we have purchased several paintings as gifts for family and friends. "(In) October 2005 I was living in Canberra and came across Splatter at the Old Bus Depot markets. I am a colour 'freak', so I was instantly drawn to the bright vivid colours. I also love the visual simplicity of them, but appreciate the detail within them also. (Re the website) I like the way you can look through them all, or by categories - very simple. The sizes available and prices were also important information and helped make the decision so much quicker and easier. I think (the paintings) are beautiful, uplifting pieces and add so much to a room. For my son's room, people often asked me whether I had a theme. I told them I didn't need one with Splatter artwork (I have 3 hanging in there). They dominate the room and I don't think anything else is needed! Bright, vivid animated artwork. My favourite is the aqua dinosaur on yellow background. It matches the room perfectly and is mounted on a wall coloured a similar aqua."
